What still happens by hand

We are in the middle: not very small, not very large. Personalised service, and also the SOPs and QC that very large stores do, which family showrooms often skip. All jewellery passes strict QC. Staff have stayed over 10 years, so the person who sold you a chain is often the person who checks the remake.

Weight against the ticket. The hallmark mark itself. Prongs and claws on diamond and gemstone settings. Locks on mangalsutra and haar. Polish that will not die after one function. If a piece fails, it does not go in the tray.

When this matters

Every sale. A wedding set. A chain you will wear to work. Italian gold — hallmark still applies. Antique gold — new metal, same stamp. A gemstone ring you might take home for a week from Kundali. After you take it home: jewellery care.

916 is the default on gold. The same metal whether it is a work chain, an Italian link, or a wedding haar. Italian jewellery is still hallmarked. Antique jewellery is new gold that looks older, still hallmarked. A gold watch in the case is checked the same way for the gold. We do not publish rates here. The ticket is for the piece in front of you.

Italian, antique, bridal — same rules

Imported gold is still hallmarked. Temple-looking gold is still new metal with a stamp. A wedding haar gets the same lock check as a work chain. A diamond pendant from Kundali still needs the certificate and the setting check. A gemstone ring still needs papers. We will not skip a check because the customer is in a hurry on a wedding morning. Come earlier.

People have been trusting these stores for generations. About 34 years. We think long term. A piece that fails QC does not go in the tray, even if someone is waiting. That is the SOP. Family showrooms often skip it. We do not.
